Set 1000 had a red package, with a central panel depicting a helicopter from the Book of Models and some parts. More models were shown along the edges. Set 2000 had a similar arrangement in green and Set 3000 in blue. The larger parts were loosely packaged in a vaccum-formed partitioned tray with a snap-on dust cover. Nuts, bolts and other small parts went in a plastic bag.
Set 1000 featured several wheeled models running on tyred 1/2" plastic pulleys. Set 2000 and 3000 concentrated on service vehicles and racing cars.
In the Trucker Fleet Lorry Set, four American trucks were developed around a common cab and chassis assembly. It was then only necessary to add the body.
The Hyper Space Set was a slimmed version of the former Binns Road Space 2501 Set of 1979. Main armament consisted of the small missile units from the 1979 set, secondary armament was false. The cockpit, antenna and radar had to be extracted from the storage tray to keep production cost low.
Silver-coloured perforated strips signalled a partial reversion to the zinc colour scheme. The blue enamel and colourful Books of Models were typically of French production, hexagon nuts, domed bolts, electric motor and battery box were ex-Binns Road production.
